If anything, the two are close friends who share 7 AM phone calls.

We'll probably be hearing from one of these two saying they're "just friends" in the next few days but for now, people are speculating that Halsey is moving on from G-Eazy with a new artist. The "Without Me" singer recently poured her heart out in the new song, referencing her relationship with Gerald in her lyrics. A few days after the single was released, it was reported that the two had broken up yet again, possibly spelling the end of their coupledom. G-Eazy was quick to move on, being spotted with several different models in Los Angeles and it looks like Halsey is also looking to the future, possibly starting something with John Mayer.

The two may just be good friends but The Blast notes that John has been frequently sliding into her social media comments. Early this morning, Halsey shared an upload that shows her on the phone with Mayer at 7 AM, doing some karaoke in the car. If anything, their friendship is just a little more intimate than previously believed. 7 AM phone calls are usually exclusive to those that are insanely close to you. Some believe that there are signs pointing to the two leading into a romantic relationship. Mayer recently commented on a photo of the pop star showing off her lipstick, writing, "It’s saying my billing address doesn’t match with the one on my credit card? I’ve never had this problem before. Can you text me?"

At the end of the day, the two may just be friends but the internet always has something to say. What do you think?
