On new year's eve, Madonna did a surprise performance at the Stonewall Inn (a symbolic site in the history of gay activism). But her performance of such classics as "Like A Prayer" were overshadowed by a bulge in her pants that, for a hungry internet, was immediate news. Although some people jumped to the conclusion that the singer was wearing an adult diaper, the more common inference was that she had received implants.
Needless to say, Madonna did not take kindly to having her body so scrutinized, even though she's likely had a long career of such scrutiny, as one of the world's biggest pop stars ever, generational gap aside. She took to Instagram to let the people know that she is "Desperately Seeking No Ones Approval," capitalizing all the letters either because her phone's broken or she's trying to coin a new acronym: DSNOA. She continued, saying that she is "Entitled to Free Agency Over My Body Like Everyone Else."
