Birdman and Juve are crafting a new project, much to the delight of Cash Money fans.

The Cash Money Records legacy is as legendary as it is troubling. While the low points are undoubtedly dark, we would be foolish to forget the trailblazing peaks, in which rappers like Baby, Juvenile, Turk, BG, and of course, Lil Wayne captivated the masses. To this day, the Cash Money influence can still be felt, and for that Birdman must be respected. Those old enough to remember Cash Money's heyday are likely familiar with some of the genre's essential bangers, like "Bling Bling" and "Back Dat Azz Up." In that sense, the label has earned a place in the annals of history.

It would appear that Birdman and Juvenile are looking to take it back to simpler times. XXL has reported that the duo is looking to recapture the magic with a new joint album, which may or may not be arriving this year. Apparently, the pair has already recorded a few choice cuts, including upcoming single "Just Another Gangsta." A peek at the video can be seen below, though an official release date has yet to be set.

The news may come as a surprise to some, as Juve and the Bird have had their differences in the past. As expected, a lawsuit was involved. Still, it's great to see two icons converge once more, and we can only hope that Mannie Fresh is brought into the fold. If only to complete the nostalgic wave.
