Ja Rule and Billy McFarland's legal tab grows bigger.

Ja Rule continues to feel the heat of the Fyre. The notorious Festival, which will likely go down in history as the worst event of all time, has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon. Having already spawned a pair of official documentaries with Hulu and Netflix, everybody and their next of kin have come to view Fyre as a cautionary tale. Though many were responsible for bringing the abomination, Billy McFarland and Ja Rule have been catching the brunt of the blame, considering that the event was their bastard brainchild.

At this point, the lawsuits have been arising willy-nilly, and there seems to be no sign of a slowdown. Today, it has been reported that Billy and Ja have been served another one, this time by EHL Funding for $2.8 million dollars. Considering the onslaught of legal eagles currently circling all things Fyre, it's unlikely that Billy and Ja have the assets to sustain the frequent payouts. Still, where there is a will, there is a way.

Unfortunately for Billy and Ja, the judge also tacked on plus 30 percent interest, which has been amassing since August 2017. Not only that, but the dynamic duo will have to cover EHL's lawyer fees. How they'll be able to actually pay the required amount is another question altogether. Billy McFarland is currently serving a six-year sentence, and Ja is looking to get back on his feet with a new app. As it happens, he doesn't appear too concerned, telling TMZ the story is nothing but "fake news."
