Devastating news broke last night that Nipsey Hussle had been shot and killed in front of his store in Los Angeles. The tragedy sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop community, as well as the sporting community. In the aftermath of his death, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors paid tribute to the late rapper and his legacy.

The Clippers were a team that Hussle would watch often, so the team made a video tribute to him and played it on the Jumbotron throughout the game. Fans in the arena gave a hefty cheer for the rapper and it was quite clear the impact Hussle had on Los Angeles and the surrounding communities. After the game, the team even hung up a custom Nipsey Hussle jersey in the locker room. The jersey had the number 5 on it.

As for the Golden State Warriors, their tribute to Hussle was a lot more subtle but equally moving. The loudspeakers at Oracle Arena in Oakland blasted Hussle's music, while Kevin Durant and Draymond Green danced along to the music. It was clear that both players had taken the loss of the rapper and philanthropist pretty hard.

Hussle was known as an avid basketball fan and would attend many Lakers games. When news broke, LeBron James made sure to pay his respects as well.
