Mustard and the 10 Summers team respond to the reports.

Earlier today, Jacquees responded to a few tweets about his remix of Ella Mai's "Trip" being removed from YouTube and SoundCloud, simply posting a bunch of sad emojis. The artist is known for putting his own spin on popular songs, deeming them "Quemixes," and "Trip" has been one of the most successful ones so far. Ella Mai's song was definitely received well but the Jacquees version arguably picked up more traction, performing well on his pages. When it vanished from his accounts, it was reported that Ella Mai and her team had fired off a cease & desist, which is now being denied by Mustard.

The famed producer has been working closely with Ella Mai since the start of her career, grooming her for superstardom as part of his 10 Summers group. When Ella started getting a lot of the flack regarding Que's version being taken down, Mustard decided it was his time to speak up, offering an official statement on the matter. He started, "Our artists don't send cease and desists, we do. When you monetize content you don't own you are stealing and no one steals from 10 Summers." From Mustard's perspective, Jacquees was out of his right to remix the song and make money off of it. That's where things get a little weird because the 4275 artist is denying that he actually did make any money from it, simply uploading it to his SoundCloud and YouTube. In his words, "My game ain't cap I love Ella."

Mustard continued his statement by saying Ella had no say in the decision to have Que's remix removed. He believes that people are only reporting on it to deviate from all the records she's been breaking.

Who do you think is in the right here?
