YG lands another acting gig.

After teasing "one more album" following 4REAL 4REAL, YG seems to have some other plans in the works. He's put his efforts towards fashion in the past with the 4Hunnid brand, and he's also been using his profile to land a few movie roles. Last year, he appeared in Matthew McConaughey's White Boy Rick, along with Danny Brown. He's previously taken on the main role in his 2014 film, Blame It On The Streets while also serving as the main executive producer and writer of the film. Now, he's set to appear in another film based in Alabama in the 70s.

According to Deadline, YG joined the cast of indie drama, Tuscaloosa which is based on the novel of the same name by W. Glasgow Phillips. The film -- directed and written by Philip Harder -- has a cast already consisting of Natalia Dyer, Devon Bostick, Tate Donovan, and Marchant Davis.

The film's described as a "coming-of-age story set in the summer of 1972 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It follows Billy Mitchell, a disaffected son of Tuscaloosa’s white middle class who must choose a path forward as ties of family, class, race and love make competing claims on his loyalty."

YG is set to take on the role of Antoine, a civil rights activist and Vietnam war veteran who "tangles with the Tuscaloosa police in 1972."
