Anthony Davis will miss at least four weeks with an MCL sprain.

Los Angles Lakers star Anthony Davis is expected to miss at least one month after suffering an MCL sprain in his left knee during the team's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that the Lakers confirmed the diagnosis on Saturday.

Davis went down during the third quarter after being rolled up on by Jaden McDaniels. While slowly making his way to the locker room, Davis collapsed in pain in the tunnel.

The Timberwolves went on to win 110-92. Davis finished with nine points and one rebound in 20 minutes of action.

“My concern is always for his health,” Davis' teammate, LeBron James, said after the game. “You wish for the best and leave it in the man above’s hands.”

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel added: “Hopefully it’s something minor and he can get back soon, but we’ll find out tomorrow."

The eight-time NBA All-Star is averaging 23.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this season.

The Lakers are in the midst of a disappointing season, currently sitting at 16-14 in 6th place in the Western Conference. The team's next game will see them traveling to Chicago to take on the Bulls, Sunday at 8:00 PM, ET.
