Aaron Rodgers is worth a lot to the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is easily one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. Although he has regressed over the last few years, there is no denying that he is one of the best talents out there. He can win you games down the stretch, and any team would want him. However, it seems like only one team can have him right now. That team just so happens to be the New York Jets. Earlier this week, Rodgers expressed his intention to play for the Jets, even though an official trade hasn't been made.

At the time of writing this, Jets fans are still celebrating the Rodgers deal. However, they don't have anything to celebrate yet. The Packers hold the leverage here, as they can ask the Jets for whatever they want. At the end of the day, Rodgers is a legendary QB, and the Packers have the right to get a big haul for him. That is just the cost of doing business, and the Jets are about to find that out the hard way.

Aaron Rodgers Still Hasn't Budged

According to Dov Kleiman, the Packers are currently looking for at least one first-round pick. Moreover, they are also looking for some other pieces. This could definitely get a bit greasy for the Jets as they haven't exactly made it clear what they are willing to give up. Overall, they have the 13th pick in this year's draft, which would be immensely valuable for the Packers. That said, if they do not get Rodgers, they will have to live with Zach Wilson at quarterback. This would be an unacceptable outcome for the Jets, which just gives the Packers more leverage.

At this point, it remains to be seen how all of this will play out. The Jets are anxious to get this done, while the Packers are more than happy to just wait things out. It continues to be the biggest story in the football world, and that will not change anytime soon. Let us know what you think is going to happen, in the comments below.
