Travis Scott has been hard at work on his brand-new album, UTOPIA. Overall, fans have been waiting for this album ever since it was announced. That was almost five years ago at this point. It was well-known following Astroworld that this would be his next era. However, we haven't heard any singles from this project. For the most part, Travis has been silent as it comes to dropping hew music. Sure, we got "Escape Plan" a while back, but we have not gotten very much else since then.
Now, it seems like UTOPIA is closer than ever before. There have been numerous teasers for it. Furthermore, everyone involved with the project has seemingly been commenting on it. This includes Travis Scott himself, who recently did a cover story for Pin-Up magazine. In this new cover story, Travis got to speak on his new album and the meaning of it all. Overall, UTOPIA is just about showing people that anything is possible. The word is simply a mindset, as opposed to something that is purely material.
Travis Scott Explains His New Album
"Utopia is something that people feel is so far-fetched and out of reach, some perfect state of mind," Travis explained. "But you create it yourself. There are people who achieve utopia every day. They may not be the richest people with the dopest cribs, but it's a utopia wherever they are, and that's the most you can have." Ultimately, it is very clear that Scott has put a lot of thought into this new album. Regardless, we still have no clue what it is going to sound like. Once we get that first single, we're sure we are going to be impressed.
On Astroworld, Scott really leaned into the whole psychedelic trap sound. However, there is no telling what he may do on this next album. For all we know, it could be something completely different.
