If you want to feel old, just peep Usher's Instagram account real quick. One of his classic albums is turning 20 years old today (September 16th).

My Way, which was released on this date back in 1997, helped thrust the young singer into the forefront of the pop culture and R&B music conversation. At age nineteen, the vocal phenom had a bevy of hits on his hands almost from the get-go, with tracks like "You Make Me Wanna," "Nice & Slow" and the titular "My Way" catapulting him to superstar status, peaking at No. 4 on Billboard's album chart. Usher, who has been embroiled in the bad PR of an alleged sex scandal, took to social media to comment on the major career milestone.

"WOW!!! Can't believe it's been 20 years," he exclaimed. "THANK YOU to my fans and everyone behind the scenes for being down with me!" He also invited fans to share their favorite memories of the album with him by using the hashtag #MyWay20. From jamming along to his music videos after school or wearing their CD copies of the LP thin from repeated listening, it's clear that My Way is one of those records that Usher supporters continue to revisit two decades after its initial release.

With production by Babyface and Jermaine Dupri - the latter of whom also has a featured artist spot on the track "Come Back," this was the record that announced Usher's talents to the world and set him on a course that would later see him dominate the charts with songs like "Yeah," "U Got It Bad," "Caught Up" and "Love In This Club." Though his recent offerings have been somewhat muddled, both musically and where their commercial success is concerned, there's no denying that Mr. Raymond is a force of nature when it comes to his vocal ability.

The R&B star was also one of the many celebrities to lend their hand at the recent telethon fundraiser that broadcast across multiple networks around the world. They have raised tens of millions of dollars that will go towards relief efforts that are currently underway to help those who were affected by Hurricane Harvey or Irma.
