Fans are celebrating Janet's career after she confirmed she will not perform alongside Justin Timberlake.

Janet Jackson has confirmed she will not appear during Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl Halftime show, but she's still the topic of much conversation this Super Bowl Sunday. Many have not forgiven Timberlake for letting Jackson take the fall for Nipplegate back in 2004, so they're deciding to celebrate Janet today rather than tune into JT's performance. As it happens, Janet's influential third studio album Control, which just so happened to be recorded in Minneapolis, turns 32 today. Fans have suggested that for these reasons, Jackson would be a much better selection to pay tribute to Prince in his hometown this Sunday, but for now, they're doing their best to make today about Jackson's many accomplishments, posting music videos, iconic photos, and unforgettable moments from the singer's lengthy career.

Check out some of the tweets so far below.

On Saturday night, Jackson felt the need to set the record straight concerning rumors she would reunite with Timberlake at the 2018 Super Bowl. "To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow: I will not," she said. "Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon."

In 2017, Janet Jackson went out on an extensive State Of The World tour in support of her underrated 2015 album Unbreakable. Earlier that year, she welcomed her first child, Eissa.
