Meek Mill is one step closer to obtaining some kind of justice.

Since the sentencing that Meek Mill received for violating his probation earlier this year, many people from the hip-hop community and beyond have turned up to show their support. Rick Ross, Colin Kaepernick, Jay-Z and others have vocalized their displeasure for the judge's ruling and have used Mill as the poster child for the systemic problems that plague the American justice system when it comes to discrimination. Today, Mill's lawyer Joe Tacopina followed through on his earlier statement and has taken steps to have the judge, Genece Brinkley, removed from the case entirely.

According to a new update from TMZ, Mill's legal team are claiming that Brinkley is acting on a personal vendetta that she has against the rapper, rather than upholding the acceptable practice of being fair and impartial when it comes to her decision making. In particular, the allegation that the judge was trying to get Meek to drop his commitment to Roc Nation and join forces with another music producer, Charlie Mack, has been grounds for suspicions about Brinkley's conduct to become even more heightened. Apparently, the FBI had caught wind of this displeasing activity long ago and have been supposedly monitoring her courtroom for over a year, making themselves present at multiple hearings.

Meek's attorneys have officially filed documents that move to have Brinkley remove herself from the case because of her improper conduct. In addition to the alleged Mack business dealings, which he has denied on the record, there's also the story of Brinkley trying to get Meek Mill to record a Boyz II Men and insert her name in the lyrics. We're going to go ahead and say that, if true, is a big no-no in the eyes of the law.

Yesterday, Ross and former NBA star Julius "Dr. J" Irving led a rally in Philadelphia in support of the MMG rapper, who currently sits behind bars. Hundreds of people came from outside the city to stand with Meek and those who believe in him as well, making it a stirring event that demonstrates how many people are standing in Meek's corner. Check out all the highlights from the event here.
