Kanye West delivers an impassioned speech where he reveals an opioid addiction.

Imagine Kanye West walking into your office and ranting to everybody about his life. That is exactly what is happening at TMZ right now. Ye has quickly become the most entertaining person in the entire world, once again, after returning to Twitter. While he has always been somebody to keep an eye on, the superstar has taken things to a new level, sharing the most unexpected details of his life and opening up to the media in an unprecedented way. While TMZ usually has to snoop to find out their information, Kanye is in their offices right now, providing it.

Yeezy had previously hinted at an opioid addiction, something that surprised very many people at the time. During his TMZ rant, Ye confirmed his previous addiction to opioids, noting that his dependence stemmed from a liposuction procedure he had. "I was addicted to opioids," said Ye, "I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y'all. I got liposuction because I didn't want y'all to call me fat like y'all called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married." Ye notes that his doctors prescribed him opioids and while he started taking 2 per day, he ended up with 7 a day at one point.

Kanye stopped taking the pills after he was told that they are "used to kill genius," resulting in his hospitalization two days later. Remarking that he was "drugged the fuck out," he alleges that he's clean right now, taking about one pill per week. Kanye's mission to lead with love and change the course of human thought is ambitious, but if there's one rapper we would peg as being capable of it, it's Kanye.
