As The Wu-Tang Clan once pondered, can it all be so simple? At this point, fans of Marvel's ongoing Infinity Saga are chomping at the bit for the upcoming conclusion, which arrives on April 26th with Avengers: Endgame. The circumstances need no explanation, but in short, the "Mad Titan" Thanos has laid waste to the Earth, leaving fifty-percent of the world's population (and some of Marvel's most bankable heroes) left to fates unknown. The culmination of the saga will find the surviving heroes banding together for a last stand, in an effort to reverse the damage caused by Thanos' fateful snap.
But how is he to be bested? We've already seen Thanos leave the Hulk snoozing on the mat, and not even the combined forces of Dr. Strange, The Guardians, Iron Man, and Spider-Man were enough to take him down. Even the almighty Thor tried and failed, though some blame poor accuracy for that one. Perhaps it will be Ant-Man, as played by the dryly comedic Paul Rudd, who holds the key to victory. At least, that's what a contingent of Marvel fans have been theorizing.
The solution is simple. Ant-Man shrinks, crawls up Thanos' butt, and expands to a gargantuan size. Of course, the deranged brilliance of the theory is not without a certain twisted logic, though a few detracting factors are likely at play. For one, as cited by a few astute users below, Thanos is simply able to move his bowels on command. Second, the strength of Thanos' sphincter muscles have yet to be tested - is Ant-Man really willing to play the guinea pig in that doomed experiment?

For what it's worth, the theory has been floating around for a minute, even eliciting a response from Ant-Man himself. For the most part, Rudd was quick to acknowledge the possibility of a successful operation, though he did cast doubts about Disney's willingness to explore such unholy ground. "I almost think it's a question for Thanos," says Rudd, upon being told of the theory for the first time. "If it’s one thing we learned from Infinity War, it’s that Thanos could take a lot of punishment. Now my mind is racing."
