Donald Trump is full of surprises. Although he has never been one to conform to the entire Republican agenda, he has picked and chosen his words wisely when it comes to keeping his far-right leaning fans happy. From a man who claimed that he grabs women by the pussy, you wouldn't expect him to have any concern about a woman's right to her own body. But on Sunday (May 19), Trump took to his favorite platform to reveal that he is not in full support of the controversial abortion ban in Alabama. The new law has no exceptions for rape, which many have cited as a complete violation of privacy and also an ethically malevolent decision. Trump tweeted out "I am strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions - Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother."

The fact that Trump highlights the fact that rape, incest, and protecting the mother's life are the exceptions to abortion caught many off guard. The President will undoubtedly cause a stir with his comments in deep Red states like Alabama and Missouri, where abortion advocates use strange terms such as "consensual rape" to defend their questionable beliefs. This ongoing abortion debate will likely be a key topic for the Supreme Court this year.
