Atlanta native Key! and producer Kenny Beats have finally unleashed their collaborative 777 project on the masses. The new effort arrives outfitted with 15 tracks total and according to Kenny Beats, serves as an introduction to the “adult Key!.”
“Your favorite new rapper's favorite rapper, grown up. My job was to lay any canvas he needed at any given moment,” Kenny tells Billboard, whose repertory includes work with the likes of ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Lil Wop.
Previously, we got to hear previews of the full project through singles like “Hater,” which features an A$AP Rocky-assisted music video and the audio for Key!’s “Kelly Price Freestyle.”
“The inspiration for my album was 'Good luck Marquis’,” adds Key! “I tried to make the project as fast as possible in the state of mind I was in with Kenny. When we started making the music we just didn’t stop.”
