Nipsey Hussle's alleged killer, Eric Holder, was supposed to go to trial last month but then COVID-19 happened.

Nipsey Hussle tragically lost his life after a shooting in Los Angeles last year and his alleged shooter, Eric Holder, has been in police custody since then. Holder was expected to go on trial last month for the murder but, because of COVID-19 related delays, it has been pushed back.

According to Vibe, the trial has officially been moved to next month after stay-at-home orders were placed in the city of Los Angeles. His next hearing is set to take place on June 8.

The 30-year-old was previously informed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert Perry that he would retain his right to a speedy trial but, because of unforeseen circumstances, things have been delayed. Of course, everything has pretty much been placed on hold for the time being as we fight to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The report notes that all courtrooms in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and other cities in Southern California, have been temporarily closed since March. California's shelter-in-place order is expected to be lifted this month though, so the trial should be good to continue in June.

Holder is facing one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon. He previously entered a plea of not guilty to all charges.
