Scarface has his own holiday.

Scarface is a legend in the rap game. As a member of the Geto Boys, Scarface put Houston on the map and pioneered the Texas sound that we are familiar with today. Along with Bushwick Bill and Willie D., Scarface painted pictures of Houston that were vivid and often grotesque, but their descriptive style influenced several hip-hop legends. Born Brad Terrence Jordan, Scarface was honored by the city of Houston on Tuesday. Mayor Sylvester Turner and members of the city council and the NAACP awarded Scarface with his own holiday.

According to KPRCScarface day will be observed on June 26. "Therefore I, Sylvester Turner, mayor of (the) city of Houston, hereby proudly proclaim June 26, 2018, as Brad 'Scarface' Jordan Day in Houston, Texas," Turner announced. In his acceptance speech, Scarface revealed that he has plans for the community. "You know me as Scarface, but now you get the opportunity to meet Brad Jordan. I've done a lot of music, you know. I've done a lot of speaking of social ... words that take place in our community," Scarface stated. "That Scarface has turned into Brad Jordan. I really want to let y'all know that I'm getting ready to make a super impact in the community because that's the most important thing to me right now."
