Suge Knight has struck a plea deal with the prosecutors in his murder case.

UPDATE: Suge Knight's plea deal sentence has been revealed. Suge Knight will serve 28 years in prison after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter. He'll receive credit for the 3 1/2 years he spent behind bars awaiting trial. Suge will also be on parole for three years after his sentence.

Suge Knight's legal troubles have been looming over him for the past three years. The former Death Row Records CEO killed a man in a fatal hit-and-run in Compton in January 2015. Since his arrest, there have been several delays in the trial, but yesterday, a date was set for the start date of his trial. However, it looks like he's already struck a plea deal in the case.

According to TMZ, Suge Knight was in L.A. County Superior Court on Thursday where he struck a plea deal for the murder of Terry Carter. Although the details of his plea deal aren't available just yet, Suge was previously looking at a possibility of facing a life sentence behind bars. Suge's trial is set to start on Monday with jury selection.

Suge Knight ran over two men, fatally killing one, in January 2015 in attempt to flee Tam's Burgers parking lot in Compton, CA. The video footage that surfaced showed Suge clipping one man while reversing the car before plowing down another man when he drove forward which ultimately killed Terry.

Knight previously claimed that he didn't intentionally try to run over either one of the men. He said that he was trying to escape out of fear that the men were getting ready to shoot him.

Suge's been jailed since the incident occurred while he awaits trial.
